CasinoSaga is one of the fastest growing Netent casinos ever, and their focus on social and the “adventure-aspect” has proven to be a huge success. Georg Westin (one of the original Casumo-founders) was the brainchild behind Saga, and he has now decided to give up the CEO-title to another swede. It is still unclear for us what Westin’s role in Saga will be in the coming years.
The new CEO is Swedish Magnus Alebo who earlier worked for Betsson Group as Head of Marketing. It makes sense for Saga to find a CEO with a marketing background, as their core business is to build a fairly normal product (online casino), but differentiate it from competitors via a unique approach (adventure/social concept). Their whole company is basically built on marketing.
It will be interesting to see where the new CEO takes Saga, and also how he handles the whole name-debacle with King.com. Does anybody know what happened with that? We don’t.
