Betspin.com is the brainchild of the company Nio inc. which is listed at the Norwegian Stock Exchange. Nio inc. has previously dabbled in penny auctions sites and various casino endeavours without success, but they are now looking to go big with a real premium casino brand.
Betspin.com is owned by Candid Gaming (daughter company of Nio) and is created in partnership with the popular Scandinavian brand Guts.com (Guts owns 25% of Candid Gaming). The casino was first scheduled to launch at the end of 2014, but the launch was postponed to the 7th of January due to technical difficulties.
The managing director of Betspin is the Finn Mikko Hirvonen (not the famours rally-driver) who has years of experience from iGaming via the successfull iGame.com franchise. He has attracted several other key-employees with previous experience from online gambling.
Betspin will not only run on software from Net Entertainment, but with Scandinavia as their primary target market, Netent-games will definetely be the main focus of this upcoming casino. We look forward to check out their full portfolio of games as soon as they launch.
It will be exciting to see how Nio and Betspin will do in the though online casino-market. We believe they have an edge with access to capital via their public listing. It is not cheap to attract casino-customers these days, so access to good amounts of money is key.
